Instructions

• The object of the game is to shoot the wumpus before he eats you.
• Normally the Wumpus is sleeping, but two things will wake him up:
  • If you enter the room he's in
  • If you shoot an arrow at him
• When he wakes up
  • If you are in his room, he will eat you
  • If an arrow is coming he will try to escape
    • If he runs into your room, he will eat you
• You can move by
  • Clicking on the compass in any of the 8 directions, OR
  • Typing the direction you want to move: {n,ne,e,se,s,sw,w,nw}
  • And then hitting "enter" or clicking the middle of the compass
• You can shoot by
  • Typing a list of up to 5 directions for the arrow
    • for example: n,n,se,s,nw
  • And then clicking the "shoot arrow" button
  • The arrow will follow the turns you gave it
  • If there is no door in the direction you gave
    • the arrow will ricochet off the wall and go in a random direction
• There are two rooms with bats
  • These two rooms are always in the same place
  • When you walk into a bat room a bat will carry you away to another room
  • When there are bats in the next room you can hear them
  • Bats can't carry the Wumpus, so he can stay in a bat room
• There are two rooms with bottomless pits
  • These two rooms are always in the same place
  • When you walk into a pit room you will fall into the pit and lose
  • When there is a pit in the next room you will feel a draft
  • The Wumpus can walk on walls so he won't fall into the pit
• When the the Wumpus is in the next room you will smell him

1. The Leaky Pipe Room

This is a dark, damp room. Somewhere nearby you can hear water dripping. The floor is wet, so watch your step.

There are three tunnels leading out of the room. They are to the East, Southeast, and South.

I hear bats nearby!
